Patty's update: Today, they took the trach out and DonnaLee is talking! They also took the splint off her leg, which is where they took the bone from to reconstruct her jaw. Warren says she's not quite walking, but rather standing and hopping about. Tomorrow, DonnaLee will reach another milestone: They will take out the feeding tube and she will start on clear liquids.
It's been one full week that DonnaLee has been in the hospital, and the end of her stay is getting closer. The doctors have told DonnaLee and Warren that she should be home by the weekend.

Wow, what a shock I got yesterday, a little after 10am my cell phone rang, I didn't look at the #, just answered it,"Hi Chris", I couldn't believe my ears, it was Donna.We talked for 20 minutes or so,about Taryn,Warren,Ian and Emily.Donna thanked me for some silly e-mails I had sent her, We talked about "HOUSE" and just kept talking and laughing.Donna talked about the hospital and how great everyone is, even the guy sweeping the floors is great.The only time Donna's voice sounded a little different was when she was talking about her doctors, she seems to have crushes on several of them. I don't know if Donna is coming home,I don't think the hospital wants her to leave and I'm sure she is competing for the "Best Patient" award, always the over achiever.Anyway the call dropped and when I realized it my eyes were a little wet, alright very wet and I was so awed by Donna again,how lucky I am to have her in my life and the mother of our beautiful daughter, don't want to ruin things but Donna told me she has alot to write about when she starts blogging again, not that Patty hasn't been doing an excellent job, Thankyou Patty and everyone that keeps Donna going. There's alot of great people that deserve SHOUT OUTS, Chris
